Spending February

Mood: creative
Now Playing: jack's mannequin, the resolution.

FEBRUARY, 1st or 2nd WEEK.

It was horrible; i have never slept so less in my life. I'm really glad God gave us a weekend every seven days. If He didn't i swear i'd be coming upstairs pretty soon.

But i guess it has it's cool moments too. Philhist Dulasawit practices are surprisingly fun pretty pleasant most of the time, though i guess i owe it to a lot of people, especially Ray, Camille and Nichola, since they have this funky talent for Adobe Audition, a pretty thorough, but complex music editing program. Can't believe they're not getting recruited or something.

GRAFFITI

The College of Science has a cool rooftop, and that's where our class practices for the inter-university play. It's got a canteen, shade, and even a socket for the player (although said socket is inside a classroom). But, nevertheless, the wind blows freely up there, and that's what i mostly like about it.

So aun. Nichola, Camille, Ray, Bren and I were sort of exploring the place. LoL. Pasensya, it's really spacious, and i can't help but shake the "Old-Castle-With-Hidden-Pathways" vibe. The building itself was built at around the 70's or 80's, Bren tells me. I was half-hoping to see some kind of weird shit written around.

And aun. We did some poking around - the actors were having a break - and we found this little space, just enough for four people to stand in. It's sort of like an alcove, only more modern and made of stone. The inside of it was adorned with hundreds of letters, all of different sizes and colors.

Graffiti.

There were things like their names, dates, quotes, and just plain shout outs. Merong Nag-sex kami dito! which was weird, since the said space was suited only for about four people. So pano un, nakatayo?

Others wrote down their names, and you could almost feel the story behind the words drawn on a piece of rock. The exact wordings escape me now, but the feeling that those people wanted to express; i can still feel it, y'know. The intensity of the feelings of which those words were written holds a sort of poetic justice er, romance. Something OTH-ish. Like "At this moment there are six billion, five hundred and two million, eight hundred and sixty seven thousand, one hundred and twenty people in the world, give or take a few and sometimes all you need is one" I dunno. It just feels that way.

May we never love in vain.

February the 20th, Friday

We had rehearsals at Blas Hall, one of the more spacious rooms inside the main bldg - it's funny; people are now anxious to show us support now that the contest itself is near. Lol.

So aun. We didn't have all three of our major classes (Human Development, Theories of Learning and Biopsych) since all of the professors were in the panel for the seniors' theses. So yeah. COMBO. Like hitting jackpot in one of the lotteries.

Oh - Pam, Bren and Fessa celebrated their birthdays(HAPPY BIRTHDAY!) with fuckingly delicious YC. Shame i only grabbed a piece of the Hawaiian, though. Should've nibbled a bit on one of them huge ass toppings.

That day's rehearsal was cool; Shan and some of the props team were finishing the costumes, so we had some free time before they arrived. We looked like refugees from the netherworld, as a lot of us slept the minutes away. Others were soundtripping, editing, talking basically we all just sat back for a while. Like a moment's refuge before the undying tempest. A sort of resignation to the fact that we'd be squaring off against the other college's finest.

But it feels right, mehn. We have a chance.

The costumes look so cool, by the way. Even the ideas for the staff uniforms. Oohlala.

February the 21st, Saturday

Ray and I went to this sort of indie/idontreallyknow/cool theater play. There were supposed ter be four of us, but since one canceled and the other was in the play itself, we found ourselves in the seats of Pope Pius XII theater.

The play was... pretty amazing. The title of the play was Tudulayaw, mga tula, dula at sayaw ng pag-ibig. I couldn't shake off the feeling that i was watching a neo-bohemian kind of play, with minimalist touches to boot.

After that, we sort of got lost; took the wrong side of the street, and boom we didn't know where the hell were we. But in more ways than one, it was pretty fun, y'know. Getting lost and all. Ray is this really amazing person;she's like this Pinoy version of HP's Luna Lovegood, minus the craziness. Like a cloud drifting dreamily into space.

We got unlost by finally doing what we should've done the moment we left the theater - hailing a trike. lol. We finished up with burgers and sundaes at a Domax before finally going our separate ways home.

February the 22nd, Sunday.

We still have rehearsals tomorrow, and i have this huge motherfucking headache.
